Pair of torches. In silver-plated bronze, with triangular-section shafts decorated with busts of Amours, on flowered sheaths, and octagonal rings with leaf friezes, supporting an octagonal binnacle on a pedestal decorated in suite, and resting on a circular base, with trumpet-shaped umbilicus decorated with friezes of lambrequins and pompons or with ironwork motifs and fleurons. Regency style, 19th century. H. 28.9 cm. Breeches drilled for old electrical installation. Wear to silvering, shock to base.
