ALLEMAGNE du Sud, XVIIIème siècle Table in plain walnut veneers, with curly or burr wood and colored wood over resinous, with rectangular top inlaid with a field with cartouche centered on a compass rose, adorned with culottes, some in spandrels, and with a border band punctuated with geometrical motifs centered on rosettes or geometrical quatrefoils, resting on four sheathed legs decorated with reserves, with molded and gilded wood capitals and bases, ending in later "galette" feet, and joined by a curved X-shaped brace, decorated en suite. Removable top held in place by two removable square-headed wooden pins. H. 75.3 cm - L 100.5 cm - W 68 cm. Modifications and old restorations, reinforcement bars under the top. Worn gilding, some cracks.
