Pair of ormolu or brown patinated candelabras featuring a winged man or woman holding a cornucopia and carrying a bouquet of four arms of light and a central stem adorned with foliage, leaves and fruit, standing on a sphere with foliage support on a truncated column of griotte red marble on a circular base, adorned with a frieze of leaves and florets, and on a square pedestal. Restoration - Louis-Philippe period. H. 68.5 and 67.2 cm. Wear to gilding and patina; one of the man's wings and the stem of a bouquet need to be reattached; the woman's attachment is faulty, making the candelabra unstable, its column formerly broken and reattached with filling and a few chips.
