Set of mismatched silver flatware (950), filet and shell designs: - six table spoons with figured medallion in a rocaille cartouche under a comtal crown: PARIS. * one with goldsmith's hallmarks: Germain CHAYE, received Master in Paris in 1755, was still active in 1788; de Jurande [X] for 1761; de Charge et de Décharge for 1756-1762. * one with goldsmith's hallmarks: P.L.C; de Jurande [Y] for 1762; de Charge et de Décharge for 1762-1768. * four with goldsmith's hallmarks: P. ?.S incomplete; de Jurande [H] for 1771 (for 2); de Décharge for 1768-1774. - three place settings. Goldsmith's hallmark: P.G. PROVINCE, 1809-1819. - an entremet spoon with a baron's coat of arms, framed by two reclining unicorns, topped and underlined by two mottoes "Vincit omnia veritas" and "Timor Dei nobilitas". Goldsmith's hallmark: Guillaume CLEMENT, active in Paris between 1820 and 1837. PARIS, 1819-1838. These coats of arms correspond in part to those of the Barons Potier de Courcy [upper left].
