Three-tone (min. 750) gold oval box decorated with guilloché reserves and friezes of leaves, some interrupted by bunches of fruit or flowers. The body is punctuated by four fluted pilasters with garlands and leaf falls. Hinged lid. Traces of an M hallmark: probably a countermark for small-scale works guaranteeing the title of 843 thousandths gold for 1775. PARIS charge and discharge marks for 1774-1780. Weight: 82.10 g. - 27 x 68 x 50 mm. Wear to decorations, a few scratches and minor knocks, notably on the lid.
