[Alphonse DAUDET]. Pierre ELZÉAR (1849-1916) Autograph manuscript, Le Nabab, drama in 7 tableaux; 120 ff. (plus about 20 interleaved ff.) of a large folio register (ca. 36 x 26 cm), leather binding with flap and lace. Working manuscript of the dramatic adaptation of Daudet's novel Le Nabab, created at the Vaudeville on January 30, 1880. Although the play was published under Daudet's name, in collaboration with Pierre Elzéar, the present manuscript shows that this adaptation is entirely the work of Elzéar. The manuscript is abundantly crossed out and corrected. About fifty leaves of a partial manuscript of setting in net, the beginning by a copyist and reworked were joined to it. One joined: The manuscript of a play in 2 acts, putting in scene Jehan de Saintré and the Lady of the Beautiful Cousins (30 ff. in-fol.).
