Oval silver snuffbox (950) with the lid decorated with a music trophy on a grooved background in an oval medallion topped by branches of leaves. Sides and bottom engraved with flowers on a radiant background and suns. The edges underlined by friezes of stylized interlacing and the edge of the rabbet decorated with a line of zig zag. Foil engraved later "D*H.E. CAVÉ". Gilded interior. Goldsmith's hallmark: H. or M. (?) C. Hallmark of the Jurand of PARIS for 1777 [O].
