Brass hilt with one branch, stamped "LAURENT" and stamped with a rooster, with two narrow auricles and a right quillon finished by a faceted button. Long-tailed cap. Curved blade with a wide hollow edge marked "Rép[ubliqu]e Fran[çai]se", single-edged, and flat-backed engraved "KLINGENTHAL"; the heel stamped MK within a crown of pearls and B under a Phrygian cap. Punches of the Manufacture and the Controller of 1st class F. BISCH between 1792 and 1798. Wooden scabbard covered with black leather with two large brass trimmings cut out and underlined by nets with two rings; steel sting. Blade length : 81 cm - Length. Total: 95.5 cm. Leather of the fuse worn with some lacks, and possible old restorations, missing watermark; some shocks to the frame and the blade, with old corrosions; wear and scratches to the leather of the scabbard, and wormholes, shocks to the trimmings, the clevis to be refixed.
