FRANCE ou ALLEMAGNE Saint character Sculpture in walnut wood Traces of plaster and polychromy. The Saint presents a gentle face with half-closed eyes and seems to be plunged in a peaceful meditation. He is covered by a heavy cloak held over his chest by a large rose-shaped fibula that falls in wide, sunken folds over his right leg and blossoms into beak-like folds along his left leg. His missing left arm probably held a staff while his right hand carried an object that has now disappeared. The wooden base is attached with screws. H. 51 cm - Width : 20 cm.
