He has read the memoir of his correspondent at the Academy. "Mr. CONTANT [D'IVRY] showed his plans, and explained his projects and the Academy, after examination, appointed six commissioners, three of the first class and three of the second, to examine them with more attention, to make their report, and to decide according to him. Mr. Contant took charge of giving them his plans []. The academy, learning from the memorandum in question that Monsieur le Marquis de MARIGNY, its director general, had signed the first plans approved by the King, believed that it should not do anything beforehand without asking for his orders. Attached is a L.A.S. to Victor LOUIS, March 16, 1790, requesting a pass to show his theater to friends (1 p. in-8).
