Catalogue " Sugimoto - Versailles. Surface de révolution " Catalogue "Sugimoto Versailles, Surface of Revolution." The Château de Versailles invited the protean artist Hiroshi Sugimoto to take over the Trianon estate where he invited art, photography, sculpture, architecture, video and live performance. For this occasion, he produced nearly 20 previously unpublished black and white portraits, ranging from Louis XIV to Dalí, from Marie-Antoinette to Lady Diana, based on their wax statues. Texts by Hiroshi Sugimoto reveal a little more about his contemporary view of Versailles and its works. A glass teahouse, designed by Sugimoto, stands in the center of the Bassin du Plat-fond. Architectural drawings of the teahouse and colour photographs of the various performances that took place there complete this book. Value: 35€.
