GHOUM, (silk warp, weft and velvet), central Persia, circa 1930 Silk carpet decorated with a large double central medallion poly-lobed blue and ivory, extended by two pendants on a red background enhanced by an elegant polychrome stylized floral decoration. The whole composition is embellished with four ivory spandrels. A large navy blue border with a garland of stylized flowers and floral scrolls is framed by twelve counter-borders. 300 x 402 cm.
