GHOUM, (silk warp, weft and velvet), central Persia, circa 1930 Silk carpet decorated with a double blue and ivory poly-lobed central medallion, extended by two pendants on an ivory background enhanced by an elegant polychrome stylised floral decoration. The whole composition is embellished with four pink spandrels repeating the same decoration. A navy blue border with a polychrome flower garland is framed by twelve counter-borders. 202 x 310 cm. Frayed and stained.
