His practice unfolds through photography, video, drawing and installation. His time spent working with filmmakers has influenced the way he considers and questions the construction, dissemination and reception of images. He aspires to make these processes visible but also to construct his own visual fictions through images he finds on news sites and his own shots or recordings. Ambiguities and transitory states interest Abbasian more than assertions. It is with this in mind that he seeks bridges between mediums and continually tests new techniques.
