YEMEN, XXème siècle Jambiya dagger. Curved pointed blade with median edge, engraved on one side with Arabic inscriptions, stars and stylized peak. Guard and scabbard covered with sheet metal decorated with geometric patterns, scrolls and flowers. Scabbard finished by a grooved top. Fixed on a fabric belt lined with a frieze of stylized flowery scrolls in coloured and metallic threads, decorated with small boxes and a small articulated belt in metal threads with plates punctuated with pearls or glass medallions, sewn. Blade length: 15.5 cm - Total height: 31.8 cm - Belt length: 103 cm. Shocks, some accidents to the metal embroidery, some missing glass ornaments.
