Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal Officer's saber of line cavalry, model 1822. Gilt bronze guard with four branches and pommel with leaves. The shell signed MARCEAUX in Paris. Fusée leather godronné. Blade slightly curved with flat back, signed and dated May 1828, and with small cutting edge, with two small partial gutters, and with two hollow sides, one marked DONNE PAR LE ROI. Scabbard in iron sheet with two bracelets, repainted in burgundy. Blade length : 97.5 cm - Total length : 117.5 cm. Watermark missing; wear to the gilding; oxidation to the blade; chips to the paint of the scabbard.
