CULTURE MOHICA, Phase III, Pérou (300 - 400 ap. J.-C.) Pair of circular earrings. The center of each one is decorated with a character made of turquoise mosaic, and red and purple spondylus. They hold at arm's length a snake that forms an arc above their heads. The mosaic is framed by a gold disc decorated with embossed beads. These discs are fixed on a silver tube that was embedded in the earlobe of the dignitary. Natural gold leaf embossed, silver leaf and mosaic. H.: 17,5 cm. - Diameter: 4.5 cm.
