Rectangular silver (950) gilt snuffbox, decorated on its lid and on its bottom with a scrolled cartouche surrounded by rushes and rocaille and rocaille; the moulded lid, chiselled with a winged dolphin head. The flared sides are decorated with shells, madrepores and vine branches. Unreadable silversmith's mark. Marks of Charge and Discharge of the small works of PARIS for 1738-1744 and trace of mark of Jurande [A?], perhaps for 1740. Weight : 136 g. - 5,9 x 8,1 x 3,5 cm. Some wear to the gilding, scratches from use.
