Gilt brass guards with a branch, a quillon, a keyboard decorated with an oak-laurier crown or a cuirass on two crossed barrels and foliage. Wooden or horn filigree fuses. Folding counter-keyboard with ball joint. Triangular or two-edged blades and four gutters, marked "Manufacture nationale d'armes de Châtellerault 1913 - Ecole Polytechnique". Scabbards in sheet metal, with a strap or in black patinated sheet metal with brass fittings, with an escutcheon button. Blades length: 85 and 84.5 cm - Total length: 102.5 and 103 cm. Scratches, wear to the gilding and patina, some oxidation; ball joint of the second sword to be revised, not holding the counter-keyboard up.
