Manufacture [Royale] de Charleville Cavalry flintlock pistol, model 1763/1766. Signed lock and flat-bodied hammer, with a flattened buttstock. Smooth, round barrel, dated 1763 on the breech tail. Cal. 17 mm. Walnut barrel. Brass mounting. With an iron nail rod. Barrel length: 23 cm - Overall length: 40.5 cm. Stains, cracks and chips to the wood, parts probably formerly sanded; shocks; oxidation; signature on lock partly worn.
