ITALIE (?), XVIèmeXVIIème siècles White marble support with high relief decoration of two waders on either side of a column, on a four-lobed, flared and fluted base. The head of one of the waders catching the neck of a snake (biblical allegory of the fight between Good and Evil). Formerly transformed into a basin base. H. 101.5 cm. - Diameter: 41 cm. Scratches, bumps, splinters and missing parts. Accident to a wing, with lacks and restorations in reinforced plaster.
