Théatre de Poche 75 bd du Montparnasse, 75006 Paris Date to be chosen subject to availability The Promise of Dawn is one of Romain Gary's great masterpieces. This powerful and moving autobiographical novel is the story of the passionate and profound relationship that unites the writer and his mother throughout their lives. First in Lithuania where Romain Gary was born and in Warsaw, then in Nice where they went into exile in 1927, then during Gary's law studies in Paris, and finally during the Second World War where Gary lived his most glorious adventures. The beauty of the book lies in the richness of the feelings of love that bound the two people together and in the strength of the epic tale of the writer's adventurous life.
