PAULINE BAZIGNAN
Interior / porcelain about 8 cm "Interior. is the result of a long process of research during which Pauline Bazignan has endeavoured to make the invisible, the hidden face of things, sensitive. After peeling the peel of an orange, the artist carefully reconstructs this organic envelope and fills it with liquid earth to reveal its emptiness and roughness. The whole thing is then cooked. The earth and the bark fuse together and from this revealing fire a series of ceramics is born. The hollowed-out citrus casts become hatched interiors, playing on the relationship between the perceptible and the imperceptible, appearance and essence.

After the line flowers, these interiors, male and female, gangues with precious columella, trace a new sculptural path in the work of this demanding artist. Interiors seem to be the product of a happening of the imprint.
